Looking for low cost room in exchange for cooking cleaning and yard wo (Nashville)

I'm looking for a room in the Nashville suburbs for a low cost in exchange for cooking cleaning and doing yard work or laundry.
It will only be temporary until I get back on my feet.
I was in a bad accident and lost everything so transportation is an issue.
Somewhere within walking distance of a waffle house would be even better since that is my current position.
