The Senior Healthcare Financial Analyst (Financial Analysis Advisor) will be responsible for overseeing a highly complex and regulated Medicare Advantage business which is a key pillar of our enterprise growth strategy (public commitment on growing 10%-15% annually).
The Group Medicare business is a key lever in that 10% - 15% growth, and a quickly growing sub-segment with in Cigna Medicare.
This role will manage the financial strategy of these markets, nearing $270M in annual revenue.
The skill sets needed to manage the spectrum of responsibility will be inclusive of Agility, Influential leadership, Drive for results & Strong Communication skills.
This market based role will oversee financial strategy, planning & analysis for Group Medicare.
They will closely partner with the Lead Group Medicare Underwriter and the Group Medicare Actuaries in balancing growth and profitability and will be responsible for leading the market’s financial reporting, analysis, and business support through a strong collaborative relationship.
The candidate will be responsible for partnering with the Group Medicare Market President and a large group of matrix partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in development of the Group Medicare multiyear growth strategy.
Develops strong partnerships across a highly matrixed, cross functional business team to drive outcomes.
Responsible for all aspects of FP&A function of region, including financial projections, budgeting, while proactively looking for opportunities to deliver improved results.
In partnership with the Group Medicare Market President establishes a multi-year financial strategy in alignment with the market’s business plan.
Participates in understanding the financial drivers of the Group Medicare business and provide insights into the impacts of network, trend, growth, among others levers.
Prepare and present the monthly financials to matrix partners.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Accounting, or other related field 4+ years of extensive experience in Financial Analysis, Healthcare, or related area Healthcare or insurance industry experience preferred Superior financial skills, with experience achieving profitable growth through management of relevant profit levers Ability to communicate with Senior Leaders, on both technical and non-technical aspects of the business Strategic agility, influence management and matrix management skills Capacity to find alternatives and solutions as well as identify problems Excellent judgment, communication, interpersonal and organizational abilities If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 93,100 - 155,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
