Key Responsibilities:
Accurately document patient-provider encounters in an EMR system.
Maintain high standards of customer service and confidentiality.
Manage patient care experience and health informatics.
Enhance efficiency and quality of patient care.
Timely attachment of documents to patient records.
Organize and prioritize daily tasks efficiently.
Address patient portal tasks following protocols.
Ensure patient/provider encounters are accurately documented.
Provide advanced support to providers.
Transcribe medical records during patient visits.
Maintain medical record compliance and prepare documentation for provider review.
Adhere to facility policies, including HIPAA.
Assist with clerical duties to improve clinic workflow.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to multitask.
Data entry skills to process information accurately.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Skills to operate EMR software systems, hardware, and word processing.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with Athena EMR is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
Requires extensive mobility: walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
Coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate multi-line phone system, computer keyboard.
Pushing, pulling, and lifting of equipment and/or patients
Requires mental alertness and accuracy for decision making.
Requires ability to speak, hear, and to identify and distinguish colors.
Use of hands to reach, grasp, use fine finger movement and feel fine sensation to discern temperature, texture, size and shape.
Repetitive motion required for extensive use of computers.
Good visual acuity.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
