Summary of Job:
Procures materials and coordinates activities involved with purchasing for the organization.
Responsible for finding the right items for the right price in a timely manner to assist with and increase the efficiency of workflow as well as seeking multiple bids for materials and equipment to ensure that the organization is getting the best price to increase profitability for individual jobs and the company overall.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field desired
1 or more years of procurement experience with trade materials and services in a construction environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and MRP/ERP Software with the ability to be trained in use of the Company-specific applications and software
Knowledge and understanding of technical construction specifications and materials purchased (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.
)
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to perform, track and monitor progress of multiple task simultaneously
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet strict deadlines promptly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain and accurately communicate technical specifications to suppliers
Professional demeanor

Ability to gather comprehensive information, compare and understand available options and make appropriate decisions
