We are seeking a talented and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team at our new treatment facility located in Columbia, Tennessee.
Our mission is to provide the highest level of care for drug and alcohol treatment, to make the experience life-changing, and affordable, and to successfully bring this healing to people from all walks and backgrounds.
Salary: Starting at $230,000, DOE.
Schedule: On-site in Columbia, TN, Monday through Friday
Job Summary:
Our Psychiatrist will work in a key role as a member of a clinical team of addiction treatment specialists, working to successfully assist clientele or patients with comfortably detoxing, receiving clinical care that helps initiate recovery from drugs & alcohol, and successfully preparing these individuals for a successful discharge with exceptional follow-up continuum of care.
The Psychiatrist will ensure that clinical programs are appropriate for client care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and order prescribed medications in accordance to professional practice guidelines
Consult with program staff for emergency medical/psychiatric issues clients are experiencing
Consult with program staff for client treatment issues while in the treatment setting
Consult with the program regarding the medical necessity of detox for patients before admission
Obtain and review medical history and perform physical examinations
Diagnose and direct counseling or each clients on an appropriate plan of treatment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Medical professional with an M.
D.
or D.
O.
, addiction board certification preferred in the State of Tennessee
Recent, real clinical practice experience with extensive exposure to patients with addictive disorders needed
Training and experience in detoxification of ETOH, Opiates or Benzodiazepines
Thorough understanding of the unique aspects of the Rehab environment and the culture of physicians, psychological staff, nurses, house technicians, and administrators
Knowledge of clinical quality improvement techniques and methods
Proven success in appropriate assessment, treatment and referral of clientele with a diagnosis of substance dependence.
Excellent communication skills
Excellent presentation skills and enjoys public speaking
Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Access and other stuff a plus
Positive, upbeat, friendly, charismatic, confident, persuasive, motivating, organized, energetic, warm, reliable
Maintain valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in clinical medicine
Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospital administration role preferred
