YOU As a Maintenance Technician Lead, you will be responsible for safely maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on plant equipment as well as building systems.
You will also oversee the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Technicians by scheduling work, coaching, and mentoring team members and identifying training opportunities to improve the skill set of those within the department.
This position works a Monday - Friday shift – 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm with overtime as needed.
2nd shift employees will receive $1.
00 shift differential for each hour worked.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time) Manage the work of the technicians.
(20%) Provide hands-on training.
(20%) Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems.
(20%) Coach and mentor technicians.
(20%) Work on special projects as necessary.
(20%) REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes.
Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too: A High School Diploma or equivalent or a combination of education and experience is required.
Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification (will certify at hire).
6-10 Years of related experience and training, success in a previous leadership position preferred.
Prints work from blueprints, electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
Computer skills: Operate various computer programs for part stocking and ordering, time keeping, and support Tech Work Order processing.
Safety recognizes and supports OSHA rules and requirements.
Math: Can apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Language: Can read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Reasoning: Is able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Able to work with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.
,) in its most difficult phases.
Able to work with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Electrical competency: ability to run a circuit by determining the correct sized components needed to power equipment by means of a nameplate and electrical drawing.

The employee is occasionally required to sit.
This role operates large equipment and needs to constantly position self to maintain the operation of equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Regularly work around moving mechanical parts.
The noise level is loud.
The job may risk exposure to dust, heat and/or cold, wet, or humid conditions.
TRAVEL This job requires minimal domestic travel.
WORK STATUS & LOCATION This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Gallatin, TN RELOCATION Relocation is not available for this position.
PAY $28.
08 - $36.
