How you make a difference: The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for reviewing and researching potential provider applications and overseeing the approval process.
They also create and maintain credentials for all mid-level and above providers of patient care at all company facilities, ensuring up-to-date data is stored in the credentialing databases and timely renewal of licenses is maintained.
The Credentialing Specialist is a key role in maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the provider credentialing process and maintain credentialing files.
Update and maintain credentialing database and generate reports on credentialing activities.
Conduct file audits and review credentialing information for possible process improvements.
Work with outside CVO firm and manage provider requests process.
Evaluate and present complete applications to CMO for approval and ensure accuracy and completeness of credential files.
Qualifications & Requirements: Education High School Diploma or equivalent, some College preferred.
Experience Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Sound decision-making skills are mandatory.
Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment with focus on time management, documentation and communication with peers and potential providers.
