PEDIATRIC CLINICAL STAFF MEMBER (PEDIATRIC NURSE) (Full Time)- We are hiring Pediatric Nurses (LPN or MA) to work full time for The Center for Pediatric Excellence, PLLC (CPE).
This means delivering exceptional patient service and quality clinical care with an upbeat “can do” attitude.
The pediatric nurse will practice in a pediatric outpatient setting.
They need to demonstrate medical knowledge, clinical judgment, technical competence, professionalism, interpersonal communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and will be responsible for professional development and competency validation.
They must have an advanced knowledge of nursing theory and application.
They will need to perform a wealth of responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude with an outgoing spirit.
One must have good leadership, management, communication, and analytical skills for a diverse family oriented medical office practice.
Lastly, the nurse must be grounded and believe great and quality customer service is the number one goal.
Jobs and Responsibilities but not limited to: Provide exceptional customer service Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations Greet families as they arrive with a smile Computer competency and adaptability to an electronic medical records system Maintain quality chart documentation and record keeping Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake and place in EMR Test patients vision, hearing and neurocognitive functioning Administer vaccines Administer IM and PO pediatric medications Triage phone calls from patients or parents and document in EMR Send refill prescriptions to pharmacies and document in EMR Interact with patients or parents via tele-med appointments Operate medical equipment needed to assist with patient care Perform and document routine labs, such as throat and urine cultures Ability to catheterize infants and children Irrigate and assist with wounds Assist with pediatric office procedures Assist in performing quality control testing in the lab Be an integral part of the patient care team and assist with patient care within the scope of practice Assists with patient and family education Keep exam rooms clean and stocked with adequate supplies Maintain order and cleanliness of the clinical area if needed Work closely with the reception/clerical team to ensure smooth operation of the clinical area, including patient flow and processing of medical records.
Practice standard safety practices and precautions Help patients in distress by responding to emergencies and notifying medical team (another nurse, PNP, and physician) Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes to management team Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential Enhances health care practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and challenging requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments Assists families with complaints and take an active role in service recovery when needed Continue medical knowledge through educational services Performs additional duties as requested by Manager or Team Leader/Supervisor Will obtain/maintain a BLS/PALS certification Required Participation in Community Service at CPE Community Outreach Programs Qualifications High school diploma Graduate from a licensed MA or LPN program with an active medical license Bilingual in Spanish or Lao Preferred Fully immunized including proof of the Covid-19 Vaccine 1 year prior experience as a Medical Assistant/LPN in Pediatrics Knowledge of EKG placement and performance in children Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal or throat swab or urinary catheter Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor Strong communication skills Strong organizational skills Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment Experience with computers, electronic medical records and charting Willing to learn new medical software Must be dependable/punctual Must be a team player 4 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Work setting: In-person COVID-19 considerations: We will comply with CDC/TN Department of Health/AAP recommendations for an outpatient pediatric office setting.
