000 per year, plus commissions *A Day in the Life of Lifeguard Director* You will support Lifeguards and Pool Managers at our customers’ pools, and we will support you including extensive training and mentoring in pool safety and swimming pool operation.
You will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing staffing, maintenance and operations for our customer locations within the Metro Nashville region.
Your role will be process oriented with much of your day spent at pools supporting your team & confirming that safety, operations and processes are being maintained to our quality at each customer location.
You will supervise lifeguards, handle chemicals at pools, identify and address other maintenance issues, and engage with the customers on the operations & status of important items.
You’ll be communicating with, and receiving support from, company upper management regarding issues that arise.
_Note: Because our operations are seasonal, your work hours will be longer in the spring and summer and shorter in the winter months.
_ *Your Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* · Maintain and support 20-30 staffed swimming pools.
· Employee Management: Manage the Pool Managers and Lifeguards working at the pools.
Supervise and support your team to ensure both employee satisfaction and customer satisfaction.
Help hire, train, and manage seasonal staff.
· Customer Service: Build strong relationships with customers and keep them apprised of all pertinent information regarding their facility throughout the pool season.
Qualifications: *What You Need for Success:* · The ability to multi-task and the desire “get your hands dirty” in the field.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment doing whatever it takes to make sure pools are open and clean.
· Ability to work long hours and some weekends in summer (& short hours in winter!).
· A high level of dependability with pro-active initiative.
· Must be able to work well with other people and have a desire to motivate your team to success.
· Valid Tennessee Driver’s License with a good driving record.
· Ability to independently lift/carry supplies or equipment up to 50 lbs.
· Work involves exposure to unusual elements, such as hot temperatures, dirt, dust, chemicals, unpleasant odors.
· Must be willing to work in outdoor & indoor environments, in all weather conditions.
· Experience with lifeguarding, aquatics and/or water safety.
