We are looking for a dedicated Trauma Data Abstractor Team Lead like you to be a part of our team.
Job Summary and Qualifications As a Data Abstractor Team Lead, you will be responsible for day-to-day operational activities as it relates to abstraction of data for trauma registry.
What you will do in this role: Provide general workflow direction to abstraction staff Assist in staff training and development Assist Clinical Data Abstraction Manager in the review and improvement of processes and services Complete quality control monitoring and reporting of completed abstracts for accuracy and timeliness Complete edit checks and makes appropriate changes on a timely basis Follow standards and COG/Parallon instructions to abstract all reportable cases.
Maintain or exceeds established productivity and quality standards Report to the manager on team and individual work accomplishments, problems, progress in mastering tasks and processes Resolve errors resulting in the rejection of records from the data entry system.
What qualifications you will need: Undergraduate (Associate or Bachelor) degree preferred Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Health Information Management; Coding, Nursing, and/or Health Registry abstraction experience RHIT, RHIA, CCS, LVN or RN preferred Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS) required " Parallon provides full-service revenue cycle management, or total patient account resolution, for HCA Healthcare.
